Tell me your best three finds!

1. A Morgan silver dollar - dug just outside an old mining camp school house slab.

2. An "arguillette" - Civil War item that was stuck into a cannon fuse hole and then bent so the enemy could not use your cannon on you as you were fleeing.

3. An old Elk's Club token good for a drink. I dug it before computers & pics so don't have a pic. I sold it for 600 bux about 20 years ago.

Matter of fact Mike , from Chicago, will be here tomorrow and we will go to the same fort that the arguillette came from and will hunt it on Tuesday. I'll take pics and post them.
Steve in so az

One of my favorite is my US belt plate dug from a Civil War soldiers hut. Certainly not the most valuable. Even though the condition was excellent.

Another one would be a 21 diamond wedding set found in the water a couple years back.

Another is a battle Creek MI token that is the only known example to date.

A runner up is another rare Civil War token that there are less than ten known to exist.

I have pics of these if you like.

Grace of God, Salvation through Jesus and the Holy Spirit as Comforter and Guidance.

Physical 3 best finds is Sherry, children/grandchildren, Brothers and Sisters in Christ both here and at church

In metal detecting best 3 finds are a .55 carat teardrop diamond ring, my first Indian Head penny, my first Roman coin found in England

Best finds that are 'different' - the very cool old iron bridge over a small rambling river I found by accident, the insects I find detecting such as the Praying Mantis and the numerous and different Dragonflies, and 'critters' such as the deer, squirrels, rabbits, eagles, etc. that God has let me see close up.

Best finds that are neat to me....the weed eater I found...worked but had no spool (and at home was one just like it except it didn't work and had a spool...the 2 made one good one.....the bottle cap that says Pete's Brewery on it...all those detectors I have owned over the years...each special in their own way

I too Praise God for letting me know that He is really real and that Jesus is His only begotten Son Who is my Lord and Savior since I've received His forgiving grace by repentence of all my sins! He has provided for and protected me ever since I can remember, even when I didn't serve Him as I should have! God is good and full of grace and His mercies endure forever!

I am blessed with having so many friends and Christian Brothers and Sisters, whose love and prayers touch me deeply and uplift me more often than anyone knows! Thank You everyone!

As far as detecting I have found many things and usually like what I dig up except the junk....but even the metals of different kinds I have kept and will turn in for money when I quit procrastinating......which I have to say I am quilty of too much! The best finds I guess, is the 1863 or 64 Seated Quarter I found while :detecting: with our Club Group at a Civil War site and also a very small CW bullet that someone at the club wanted to buy from me but I really have a hard time selling anything I have found hunting and digging for! I found a 14-K gold wedding band 3/4 inches wide in Forest Park many, many years ago and it would fit from my finger knuckle to my hand if I could wear it....but it is a small size...a FOUR I think!

Anyway the best I ever found is serving my Savior and going :detecting: out in God's beautiful world of trees, flowers, grass and seeing many animals, too, and meeting many people who were interested in what I was doing and what I had found! The world is full of happiness and lovely creations, if we would just stop and view what has been created for us to enjoy even in times of trials, troubles and pain! Which we too will also have because of a fallen world that we are in but not participating of its sinfulness! Christians are a peculiar people and should live like God tells us to do in His holy word, The Bible! Amen! Ma sure likes to write and so I've done it again! God Bless! Betty
