Tesoro Cibola Issue

Just call Rusty Henry at the factory. I'm pretty sure they will rephase your coils free. Good Luck!

You should just give them a call. I doubt that it will cost you anything more than shipping and a bit of waiting.

Thanks guys. I'll cross my fingers till I call in the morning. Have a pleasant evening. I will report back with any issues.

Spoke with Rusty at the factory. One of the nicest and most informative people you could meet. Long story short, its in UPS's hands and they are going to check out everything on it and ship it back. Thanks for the advice.

I am sure that it will come back working like new. They are pretty thorough and depending on where you live, this is a good time for a tune-up.

that cibola is a sharp machine , even with no ground balance,

I am in northwest Georgia. He told me that with it calibrated with the larger coil it should still work well with my 5.75 due to us having forgiving soil. I can't wait to get it back.

Update. Long story short, you guys hit the nail on the head. The coils had to be rephased. Both were out of range. Any ideas how I can aid in prevention of this? I already know about the hot cars and movement. Thanks.

You should never have an issue with it again really. Glad to hear your way to some great finds!

There is a tuning wire that connects the transmit and the receive. Over the years, the glue and epoxy gets brittle and could cause this wire to shift. this puts it out of tune. This happens and really nothing you can do to prevent this. You can be easier on the swings and not let it hit hard objects or jolt it. This will help!
You can call me anytime for question you have. That's my job here at Tesoro! 928-771-2646
