Tesoro = good battery

Was in need of a good 9 volt battery, I wanted to try a Panasonic brand so I ordered one from one of the Tesoro dealers. Seems to be a very good battery and the brand new Vaquero that came with it isn't bad either ;). Spent about 20 minutes at a small park with the Vaq. today, the air was cold, still some frost in the ground and where there wasn't any frost the ground is like a lake, did find a few coins but poor conditions to test out a detector. Was easy to get the ground balance set, like the sound the Vaq. makes, pinpointing is right on the money, I like the fast auto tune, and its a good looking detector the colors go good together. It's another winner from Tesoro.

Wow Steve,

....You always stumble onto the greatest deals, order a Panasonic battery and it comes with a Free new Vaquero, some guys have all the luck:shrug:

Very lucky indeed Randy, it was the last one with a free Vaquero, but don't let it stop any of you from buying the Panasonic batteries :poke:.

Grats on moving up to a big boy there Steve.

And when you get tired of it you can trade it for 5 compadre's

lol

Yep love mine found my first Indian head cent with it and now in the process of doing something I said I would never do and that is trade my Shadow X2 for another detector but when your offered a Mint Tesoro Tejon for a Shadow X2 I just cant pass it up Hope the fella dont come to his senses till after the trade

let us know how you do with it .

You know ,,, I got one of them there detectors with my battery too. Talking about batteries.. I tried a different kind,,,Energizer Advanced Lithium. It last a lot longer Cost a little more too... KEN

Ski, did you get the regular tone Vaq or the high tone version? I think I might prefer to have the higher tone version if I get one. Well I'll get one, just not sure if it will be the Vaquero or the Outlaw yet :shrug:

I am not certain (I will have to check the box) but think it is the regular tone model which I prefer. Never cared for high pitched sounds, I have heard some say that the Cibola sounds like a duck but I find it a really nice sound. Everyone's likes and dislikes are different but personally like the Vaq. better,

I ordered 8 AA Panasonic batteries from a Tesoro dealer and got a free Tiger Shark, but the shipping was expensive! At least that is what I told my wife. Too good of a deal to pass up.......

I'm expecting my Vaquero to arrive on Sat., tomorrow. I'm so pumped to swing it. Not to mention, in the picks, and I know the sellers reputation is he's a stand up guy, and the pics showed a near mint Vaquero, and service slip from Tesoro statting that the coil had been re-balanced and disc tweaked. Seller sent it in for a going over and check-up, to make sure the V was 100% fine. Even though he was having no problems with it to begin with.

Total price for me, $275 and he kicked in the shipping......I almost feel guilty for taking for that price. Now I only need to locate the 5.75" coil for it......

I always try to buy only the top of the line batteries out there, and never mess with those rechargables...

I use energizers? Just teasing! Like the way you posted this one, funny:clapping:

I like the low tone Vaq. over the high tone Vaq. that is.
