Tesoro Sandshark coil questions.

The 10" coil will improve your depth on larger objects. As to it being able to hit a target at 3', well that may be something a lot different.

It may be able to do it depending on the size of the metal object at that 3' level ?

If you want to look for such items, you may want to consider a more powerfull PI detector than the Tesoro.

Mr. Bill,

What are the stronger PI units (better than the Sandshark) that can hit clearly a solid 1 pound metal target (or larger) at least 3 feet down? This endeavor is worth looking into here locally. Even though you may not live off of it, it is a good hobby to do while here to get out of the house. May get lucky.

We will start with the one's the forum administrator manufactures.

Eric Foster's, Deepstar, Goldscan 5, Aquastar.
I have a old Deepstar, and that can hit on the top of a Campbell's soup can at 44" in the ground with a 11" loop.

I hate to plug any other manufactures, but to answer your question I will.

The Minelab series of PI units, SD, and GP series.

The soon to be released Whites nugget PI, what ever it's name is going to be.

These are the biggest, and the baddest.

Although not a PI unit, you may want to look at 2 box detectors.
