Just got my Deleon back with a clean bill of health from Tesoro I sent it in at the end of October and they had it for only about 2 1/2 weeks the the rest was travel time here and there. When I sent it in it was in bad shape from just everyday use for the past 9 years I am the original owner and bought it in fall of 2003 I have taken very good care of this machine because for me it was a big investment I protect it from heat and cold and clean it once a month here is what was wrong with it and what they did
TId screen was unreadable
arm cuff was broken ( I think with just age and the added weight of the cleansweep played alot in that one)
lower pole lock stripped
stand on back of unit was cracked brittle with age
battery doors weak
I also sent my cleansweep coil that is not even a year old it was leaking water into the coil and would false it also had sand or something rattling around in it
First thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the box was the whole housing had been replaced next I turned it on the screen was very clear and easy to read the old pole lock was replaced and they replaced the whole cleansweep coil did not rebuild it replaced it!
I dont about anyone else but this is the only company that I will ever buy a detector from and the only company I will ever recommend to others intrested in the the hobby........................Thanks again Tesoro , Robert and and everyone at there for the great service, support and the great machines

Totally agree with ya phinbolt, :tesoro: is

You got that right! Not only does Tesoro have the best customer service in the business, Tesoro also manufactures some of the best detectors in the World.

Thats a great post! Even though I'm not a Tesoro user, have never had the opportunity yet, I really like their style, and appreciate posts like this!...

All other manufacturers need to take lessons from Tesoro on customer care/service. They are the best in the business and Tesoro has some outstanding people working for them. I have owned several Tesoros and have given them repeat business because of this.

I've had nothing but great dealings with Rusty and crew there unlike some of the other brands,,,,Nothing but nightmares getting something simple done.

Rustys hand must cramp alot from all of the writing he does.....lol

Hats off to ya people.

Tesoro's service is unheard of in any industry. I wouldn't expect any other detector manufacturer to follow suit. Buying a Tesoro is an investment for life.

I have the highest level of respect for one who would use one machine that long and create that much wear. You must be at least a lil upset, took you a long time to wear that thing out!

Been looking my butt off for Tejon that looked like a little used, I settled this week for one that was "like new" ..... Booo! Now I need to make it look used.

There was old man on the OBX, NC that I saw with his Naut DMC1 throughout my teen years, I actually saw him about 2007 still hitting the beach with that same machine. I believe the aluminum control box had to be getting thin, paint must have been gone since the mid 80's. Funny thing -- I don't think he looked any different. I first saw him 30 years ago.
