Tesoro "V" finds Irish Claddagh Ring with Mysterious Stampings

Made a video with my Vaquero and MXT this afternoon and thinking I had a zinc penny, found this Claddagh ring. I

Yep, the lightweight small silver rings that I find are in the zinc range as well.

Could be celtic runes? you can find the whole alphebet on internet search

Take a look at this site http://www.silvercollection.it/englishsilverhallmarks.html The norm is for one of the marks to identify the year the ring was made, one identifies the city where it was made and the one identifies the maker. I think that is probably what your marks are about.

Thanks Bleaver, this is great!

Looks like the D.D. Lt stands for the marker but their not on any of the list so maybe he's a smaller maker. The last stamp is a U and it closely matches the 1915 symbol. The other 2 I'm not sure yet. Thanks again.
