Tesoro Vaquero vs MineLab ETrac

I love my vaquero ! Never owned a minelab but I think I would like it. HHH.

I can't watch. No comparison. Not quite apples to apples.

Hey Mike, I agree but it's interesting how well the little Vaquero does none the less; especially for the small investment of about $450.00.

I find the top end detectors like the Etrac very interesting and I looked at the Vaquero but when you live on a boat the waterproof issue rears it's ugly head and kinda limits the selection. Those Etracs sure seem heavy as well. Who knows, maybe one day...

The Tesoro line is hot on small gold!

Hope you like the forum.
God bless.

Not in Australia. Out here I have only ever seen one brand on the goldfields, Minelab.

They were invented here and, so far anyway, are the only detector that really works and gets some depth in our heavy mineralised ground.

Tesoro's, Garretts, Whites etc are here and popular enough for coin and relic operators in parks and beaches, but you won't find them amongst gold prospectors.

I have seen Minelab XTerrra 705's on the gold as well.
