Testing new Excelerator coil.............................

diggindirt

New member
Well, I received the 5" Excelerator coil today for the Quattro. I did a quick backyard field test and it looks real promising! It was getting dark and I couldn't coinshoot due to lack of light. However, I threw coins, silver, gold and lots of trash in a tight area to test the coil response and coin sniffing abilities of the machine. I can simply say this coil seems to be great for working in trashy areas. I was able to swing the coil much faster and had clear tight coin signals within the trashy tones. I will do a full test and post the results when finished. I'm pretty excited from what I've seen so far......good hunting to all.

Keep us posted as you get results with the 5". Mine a Sun Ray should arrive Friday and I can hardly wait.(would like to know of any comparison of the two coils Sun Ray and EXcellerator) I did well today with the 10" original, but could have dug ten times as much if I could have separated targets better.I stopped digging the deeper targets that I was getting brief hits on to save time. At the location I was at today the fair grounds I could have spent all day at the booth where they collect the cash for parking. In about 100 sq feet there is a small fortune in clad if you can separate out the trash.Looking forward to the 5" for that area. I got signed permission today also for a 250 acre farm where the first established settlers of Elizabethtown put up the first fort in 1790's.I have walked the farm before and hunted adjacent to it along a lake and spring the city owns. The area is so trashy the only way to conquer it will be with the 5" coil. This farm has three turn of the century abandoned houses on it also. Along with that several areas where they took their trash to the ravine to dump.
