Thank you all for the birthday wishes and prayers...

now I am 59 and no smarter than I was the day before LOL.

Turned out to be a very good day and birthday as well. Not into 'parties' so we just went to a local restaurant where I 'stuffed a turkey' (me). Had the wonderful company of Sherry, Casey, Leelan and our pastor and his wife with their grandkids. Got to know the pastor a bit more and he has quite the sense of humor.

I had been thinking to myself I would like a flashlight that would be much brighter than the ones I have for work or anything else. Casey surprised me with a cool flashlight...it is acutally 3 separate flashlights that fit into a tripod mount. The tripod legs collapse or open out. In the tripod I can sit the flashlight anywhere I can find a flat spot and then direct the light with the tilt heads of the flashlights to anywhere I need the light;;;;keeping my hands free to work.

They are those new diode type lights that never burn out and each is bright...Last night I had all three in the tripod unit and held it like a regular flashlight. I pressed a single switch and all 3 came on at the same time and its bright enough to light up the whole side of the neighbor's garage...that's the kind of brighter light I was thinking of. Great gift. Now to see something....can I attach a single one of them lights to the metal detector and detect at night muhahahahaha.

I have no doubt all 3 are bright enough for a plane to spot from the air.

Couldn't ask for more yesterday. Even sat through a 'chick flick' (Becoming Jane) the story about Jane Eyre, a novelist. Pop corn and a movie with Sherry, Casey and Leelan (actually Leelan and I were playing on the floor more than me watching the movie).

All in all a great day. Thank you all for adding to its joy. God bless you all.

Glad you had a good time , and had all that fun at your age. Just kidding.

You are welcome, Pete, and GEE you are 59, now, oh so  Just wish I was 59 again and then I could still go :detecting: :) You are very bright and you will figure out a way to use your flashlight(s) on your detector or on your head for :detecting: at night....but I imagine Sherry won't like your doing that! ;) May God Bless! Amen! Betty

Happy birthday - a lil late, Pete!

Maybe I can get her to hold the flashlight while I swing and she can dig too - since she will have the light to see into the hole

Will get some pics of it and post them. My brother-in-law stopped by last night and he is into pest control. He has a very bright light he uses in his work. He is impressed with this and was thinking maybe he should get one too. Casey of course didn't miss a beat and told him "for the right price he could buy this one" :nono: since it was the last one on the shelf at the hardware where she got it.

It also comes with a coupon you turn in with the UPC label and you can get yet another mini version of this tripod light for free. So she is taking the UPC and keeping the other one for her.

The light is made by STANLEY. A reputable name in tools...not one of the cheap Hong Kong knockoffs.

Check out the video above I made using the freeware program for making flash videos.

How much are they?

I really like the Flashlights and tripod....sure would be nice for taking brighter pics with a digital camera and for seeing, without holding, to work on any kind of machinery! God sure blessed you with a nice Christmas gift from Casey! I hope and pray you are doing better and on the way to healing, so you can work! May God Bless! Amen! Betty

I think it was $29.95...about 10 bucks per light so to speak....100,000 hours of light before the 'bulbs' die. About 5 hours of light from the AA batteries.
Doesn't come with the batteries...but nice to know we can always use the ones in the AA battery pack if the detecting is done and it is too dark to detect on the way back to the car.

My knee still pains me alot to walk yet because the doc said to not use the crutches or the knee support the morons at work think I am faking it as I am walking without anything...but each step is a pain which they don't and can't see or feel. I was told they think I am faking and I will be 'investigated; and am now 'being watched'. Why would I want to work for these 'people'????

It was brought up I had gotten hurt once before and so as they say 'you have a pattern'. The pattern is doing unsafe work from a ladder. I guess if they keep pushing the government occupational safety and health administration will be on them to get the roof repaired so no one has to reach over their heads from the top of a ladder to remove water from 5 gallon buckets...grrrrr.

Getting my knee fixed is first order of business and looking for another job while I am healing from the surgery/ Was given a deadline to be 100% able to do my job by Feb 1rst or I would have no job and they are pushing to have me investigated thinking I am scamming them for comp money. The surgery is scheduled for Jan 25th so likelihood of me being 100% by Feb 1 is probably not going to happen.

Oh well God is in control. Will let Him sort out all this and I do know that any voice raised against me will fail - can;t remember the exact verse or wording at the moment...I think you know what I mean anyway.

Happy New Year Betty.

Yes, Pete, God will take care of you and family, when each of us puts our whole trust in Him and do not worry or fret over the problems.....for these are doubting that He can work them out for our good and for His purpose! God, in Jesus' name, can do all things-----just that sometimes it takes a while for His timing, when we are still keep faith in our One and Only God! Amen! May God Bless! Amen! Happy New Year to you and family! Betty
