really wierd, I ran the ace over it again and again, 4 out of 5 passes it did not even register, one pass it showed under iron. I tried again and again, and again.....lol

same result.

anyways,

i have a collection of meteorites from south America, Africa, and eastern Russia, and mt. potosi nevada near las vegas.

i only found the one from mt. potosi. i purchased the others. i just happened to notice it on the surface when i was getting back into my vw returning from metal detecting. it is about the size of a dime with 'thumb prints' the size of a rounded no. 2 pencil point. my picture is to big to upload.

Good luck with meteorites. If it's an "iron" you should be able to hit it easily, but unfortunately only about 3% of all meteorites are the iron type. The rest are stoney iron or stone, and the amount of metal in them (nickel) is really very small compared to the amount of rock. My Ace 250 only hits on my large iron meteorites. I'm sure there are other machines that are better for finding space rocks, I've seen it done but I'll stick to coins and relics.
