Hi Malcolm and all,
Thanks for this Russian website I didn't know about. I found the DeltaP (Delta pulse) to be of interest. I think it shows what Eric was talking about using diodes and sharing the cap and resistor to two monostable multivibrators (one shots) to keep the first and second sample width more are less the same. On my fully adjustable bench step up I actually use the same one shot for both samples, which can be achieved with a few logic gates and a flip flop.
The analog chain on this design is most interesting. Appears to me to be a direct coupled no motion required design, where he is auto nulling the offsets of the amplifiers during the transmit on period. Least thats what it appears he is doing thoughout this chain. But I could be wrong. Anyone else have any comments on this design? Anyone tried this front end amplifier scheme? Or any of the rest of it. Going to have to look at this one a bit longer than most, trying to figure out the up side, down side of what is being done here. Maybe some good ideas for the free design? We should be able to come up with something a bit better than the basic. Maybe several different analog designs.
