Hay Guys,

You ever post on the wrong forum?

I know I have, and it can be imbarrasing when I talk about
Tesoro metal detectors on the Whites DFX Forum.............

There is a nice man known as Osgood. He is new to the Garrett
Forum. He accidentally posted about his new 250 on the Tesoro Forum.
He was saying how much he liked it.

While the 250 is a great starter unit, and a model that can be utilized
by the more experienced detectorist, we went ahead and made fun of
Mr Osgood's post.

Uncle Willie came over and kind of put us in our place.

Thanks Bill. I'm sorry. We didn't mean any harm.......

Osgood. Please accept my oppology for anything that I might have
said to offend you.

We are not really a bad bunch of guys............:buds:

We just use a more simple technology. It's kind of like a Scorpion
Gold Stinger, but with less features and of course, very light weight.
I am like Mr Osgood. I can not swing a heavy machine. Even the
two pound Tesoro'es hurt my sholder. That's why I am stuck on
Tesoro'es. Can't go any heavier.

But, Garrett makes a well built metal detector. They are tough and
perform well.

I have to admit that I thought it was funny and I guess we had fun at
the expense of another.

I can't make that right. But I hope I can make Mr Osgood feal more
at home here.

Respectfully submitted by,

Tabdog

good on ya for apologising tabdog . i personally love the ACE250 i"v been finding lots of gold with it lately. i think you can do well with most brands of detectors if you learn the detector well & use it regularly.

HI TD. Good to see ya here bud. I was just yanking your chains a bit. :) I figured the Osgood feller had unknowingly wandered into alien territory. I've been a Tesoro owner and user ever since old Jack Gifford went into business and I still have my trusty Compadre. Lotta guys on this forum and the other Garret Forum have other machines. I notice you've been finding a fair share of goodies lately. Those little Compadres are a goodie getter. Take care.

Yeah-I think everyone really has several detectors they use. The Ace just has a little different learning curve and wants to talk if you get it's sensitivity too high. I have a hard time deciding whether to use my Ace or Silver umax all the time. Best of hunting, Osgood.
