I hope you guys find something in the show you like. There is a broadband and a dialup link on my front page. I used a preloader so allow it to load 5% and then it starts playing. Happy 4th of July everyone.

guys the last part showing garretts many finds the audio is out of synch. I'm fixing it now but it probably won't be ready for about 5 hours. sorry for the problems I just caught it but the rest of the show is fine. it will be fixed asap

If the purpose of the show as to make people want to go out and hunt it worked for me. Then again it doesn't take much more of a flash of a park, school, or a soccer field on the TV to give me the bug.

Here are a few specific comments:

The theme song is great. I like just about everything about it.

Host was great as well. Why didn't we see him? See comment 4.

The long awaited comment about a new detector was a let down for me. My guess is a probe or a pinpointer.

The show did not contain enough video. Narration over stills does not make for the best TV.

The hunt segment was very good. The sound was very well done which is difficult outside. The treasure hunter was excellent, does he post on our forum? I think the camera man should have changed angle to a closer shot during target recovery. I was almost thinking the dimes were plants but he was pretty excited about that first one.

The video and audio were out of synch toward the end. I think you mentioned this before.

I have no idea how you are going to fill a half hour a week for any period of time.

The show played a bit like an infomercial. I am kind of surprised it is going to be allowed on your public access. Up where I live it has to be not for profit to be considered. It might also be a violation of the terms of service of this forum to post links to a commercial enterprise that is not a sponsor of the forum.

Overall I enjoyed it and if it wasn't raining out I'd have gone out detecting after watching. I also want to really visit that museum now.

Thanks for all the effort, I enjoyed watching!

Chris

We have an edited version without commercials for tv. I appreciate your comments and I agree with them all. I have already talked to Gary about having a banner on here. We are just waiting for them to get the forum all transferred to new server. Several years of posts takes a long time. As far as filling a 30 minute show each week it will be easy. I will be getting years of hunting by charles garrett next week.Pluse robert and I will be hunting over 100 ghost towns here in my county alone. Here is the link to my counties ghost towns. You might enjoy the reading and pictures.

I only posted about the show on here this time so you could see what I was trying to do for people who may not have hunted before. I didn't really expect you pros to be excited about it. Our thrust is for the beginner or those that have never had a detector before. Thanks for watching. The reason the pictures were narrated and the reason the moderator wasnt shown was because the audio on his mic was way too low,so i cut it out and recorded myself so it could be heard. The commercials are there because I have a dealership and it costs money to produce this stuff. I'll not be mentioning anything about the show again in here. I plan to build my own forums.

Wow ....very cool show...great idea and keep em coming. I hope that there are many more adventures. Be neat to travel across the usa doing that show. Show some historic places. Just an idea!! Great success!!

Your right predator. we plan to hunt in galveston island and padre island,as well as ghost towns and etc.Vaughan is giving us footage of his Dad's hunts next week and as you know he hunts all over the world. so that should be fun to see. Thanks for watching my friend.

Larry

I really want to watch the last segment again so make at least one more post to say the video/audio at the end is fixed. I would like to hear more in depth stories about a few of those items. The bars of gold and silver to be specific. The strong box. Many more.

The show was quite good, really. Needs just a little polish.

Chris

When will you be at Galveston or Padre??? Can some more of us get in on it? :detecting: I promise, cross my heart and hope Bin Laden dies, to use my :garrett: GTP-1350. Oh, and tawook Teyxan!!

I just watched the show. One suggestion: The buttons under the video don't work properly to advance or rewind. It goes all the way to the end, or all the way to the beginning. Normally, (youtube, or abcnews.com, for example) you can also use your mouse to slide the video to the exact spot you want to see. I tried to back up to watch a segment I missed because of an urgent issue from my kidney to the ... never mind. All we are expecting from you is perfection!

A second suggestion: The guy detecting the park should place more emphasis on tree trunks. Think where people sit and lean their backs to, when they go to a picnic, or park, especially in hot weather. He did do that one root, but right around the trunks I have found a lot of coins.

I really wish i hadn't made a player with all those controls. And yes you can hunt with me anytime anyplace anywhere. The controls on flash can be set many ways. Next time I will make it like your use to using. however it does rewind and forward. your hitting the wrong one. the ones with double arrows are the one you need to use. just hold your mouse down on it till you reach the point you want to go to The single arrow goes all the way back or all the way forward:cheers:

Hey Larry,
Enjoyed the show my friend.:clapping:
It was nice to see Vaughn Garrett he seems like a nice guy.
I especially liked goin' huntin' with Robert Jordon, it's nice to see other peoples techniques.
Just loooooove those merc dimes, but as Robert says them pennies fair mount up too.
Thanks for sharing the video with us, I'll definitely follow it week by week.

I would tell the guy hunting in the park to remove his ring and bracelet before waving the plug by the coil. Seems like he was getting some beeps from his jewelry. That was the only thing I thought was odd. Look forward to the next video. That must be some hard work putting together a show.

very hard work. The hardest part is editing 5 hours to fit 28 minutes for tv,30 minutes for internet and all of it for dvd lol I spent about 3 days on it.
add to that our microphone was malfunctioning on our interviewer and so i had to watch the film and add a voiceover it was a mess. But we have had hundreds of e-mails of appreciation from viewers of our website from other forums and some that found us by internet search engines. So It makes it all worth it. If I help one person get up off his lazy ass and get a detector, and enjoy this fascinating hobby that can also extend your life, then it's all worth it.

Or make Garrett more $$$$.

Thanks Larry.
I'm looking forward to viewing it. I'll have to wait till the next AM as that's where I have the most broadband available.
Mick Evans.
