The AT Pro has been getting the job done in Virginia

Recent cut backs at work forced me to sell some toys . I just traded for a more affordable AT Pro. I have been a relic hunter for many years and know focus hunting colonial house sites. Yesterday started the new relic season for me as the fall harvest gets under way. To do well you have to be able to find targets in and around iron. I was pleasantly surprised at the fast recovery speed of the Pro. I dug several good targets with nails in the hole. Hunting in pro mode zero with iron id on works as advertised and allows for better depth. Because the detector is all terrain the stock DD coil is a bit heavy when having to swing above the cut stalks. The three tones are pleasing to the ear with the supplied headphone. Depth was good even though I reduced my sensitivity because of all the ferrous trash. All touch pads are easy to get to and ground balance is a snap. I will post my finds later on Sunday.

If you've sites where one can get the coil closer to the ground consider, the 5x8 coil, it's a killer, nearly the same depth (in my ground) even better separation than the stock one which is also first rate.

Alright George! I always have enjoyed your posts in the past, and am very glad you landed here. Theres been a lot of new guys including me to get one of these ATPros this summer, your addition to this group will be good for us all! :clapping:
