And, the bank is till paying some dividends.

My buddy and I put in 5 hours on the bank spot this forenoon and while our clad and cents take was off from some previous hunts, we still garnered over 100 coins between us. I got 43 modern coins and then the 7 older varieties along with a small silver ring. The ring passes the silver test, but I highly suspect it is only plated.

The vast majority of coins came from another area that we hadn't yet hunted all that hard. We both started out with the 5" coil and as quite a few of the coins had some depth to them, my buddy switched to his Fisher 5 x 10 DD. I stayed with the small coil the whole hunt. One signal I had was bouncing from the low 80's up to 90/91. Thinking maybe a bottle cap, but curiosity got the best of me and I dug it. From about 5" I recovered a clad quarter. Gave the coil a quick sweep back over the hole and dirt and got a weak high tone. From about another 2" deep I recovered the 2nd of the 2 Washington quarters I dug today. The 1924 Mercury promptly followed back to back wheat cents early on in the hunt. The Washington's were 32 and 37 and the wheat cents 26, 40, 42 and 57. We plan to hit the spot again in the morning. You guys keep amassing huge amounts of coins..and very respectable amounts of Silver coins............

Nice hunt men... Your an inspiration to all of us.

A three silver day is fantastic! This bank is going to keep you guys happy for a long time, no need to look for another spot when you are getting fines like these.

Thanks guys. The ole "bank" became frugal silver wise on Fri., our last hunt there. We did amass another 125 or so clad and cents between us, but only 1 wheat cent, but some keys and a couple pieces of junk jewelry. I have a feeling any silver that may be left is now badly masked and maybe very deep. Got a line on another old spot that had some civil war activity, so will probably check it out this coming week. Hunt good, there are still goodies out there. HH jim tn

The Bank is the best spot I've ever heard of - have you determined why there are so many coins there? Old fairgrounds? Love to hear the history of that place.

Congrats!!! (GL & HH isn't needed since the bank is still open).

Pretty good idea how so many newer coins got there. Older coins are from 30-40's era housing site now long gone. Although the area isn't great, it is certainly far from a war zone. But, it is certainly obvious it hasn't had a coil over it for a very long time. I was just googling around looking for new spots to hunt and that one looked like it had possibilities. HH jim tn
