The Battle of Gettysburg 160 years ago today

The Battle of Gettysburg came to a close today with the failed attempt to break the Federal Army's Center line of works in Picketts Charge. July 1-3 1863 General Lee led his Army of Northern Virginia deep into northern territory in an attempt to break the Army of the Potomac, and possibly a negotiation for peace with Washington D.C. We all know the History of how this battle ended, and ended poorly for the Confederacy. It's hard to believe it has now been 160 years ago. God Bless those troops in both armies that both lost their lives, or were wounded in this horrible battle and all the other battles of this war. They were All Americans with different dreams. I often wonder what all the Veterans of all our wars who lost their lives would think of our country today, and if they would think that all was worth them giving their lives for the country as she stands, or stumbles today. I wish All Patriotic Americans who Love America A Safe and Happy 4th of July. God Bless America, and All our Veterans who have served in All branches of our Military. :usaflag: :usaflag::usaflag::usaflag::usaflag::usaflag::usaflag::usaflag::usaflag::usaflag:
