The Book is out and again it's a must have

I like the book. I like the V4 VS V5 explanations in a couple of spots are very helpful . Ground sensitivity is explained well. I think it's a very complete book weather or not you had the first version this is well worth having. My Coin/Relic program is in it and Calabash's Relic program is in it as well and both programs are explained very well. If you're running a Deus this is super information for dirt cheap. It is a Must Have even if you think you have it all under control. HHunting

I have one burning question. Does it address head on the most debated and contentious Deus question of all time? And that question is; are Notch and Discrimination one and the same ? If it puts that issue to bed, it is worth its weight in Flowing Hair Half Dimes.

Discrimination acts like it does with any machine out there. No sound from the discriminated area.

Too Much Discrimination will cost you detection depth. ( your safe up to 10 )

Unless you move the Iron Volume up from zero you will hear nothing in the discriminated area of numbers.

You ask "Why would I want to move the Iron volume up and then hear what I just discriminated out?"

I absolutely do use discrimination in my programs And I turn up my Iron Volume to 2 most times.

The reason to use both of these tools together is so that I can still know whats Going On under my coil. But at a lesser volume level than signal from the GOOD targets. I want to know when I'm walking into a area that contains iron. Iron shows that something happened in a spot.

The Notch settings work in a different way. When you set a range of numbers to " Notch Out " you are telling this to the Coil. Remember the brains of the Deus are in the Coil. What happens is the coil still sees the target example ( 38-44 ) that you have "Notched Out" but it knows NOT to send the tone to the Headphones for anything with a TID of 38-44 where you set it. No discrimination is used and there is no loss of detecting depth.

Lets say your hunting in a spot and there's some POS that keeps coming in at 57 you can set a small notch for 55-59 and not hear that thing (mostly)

BUT anything you don't dig we all know is a gold ring so....

I would have skipped the book entirely if Calabash was not part of it! CB’s videos have been a great knowledge base for me in understanding and using the Deus.

Appreciate the feedback and comments . . . a lot of positive feedback so far and it has only been out a few weeks. The input from experienced users makes it a book that covers all the bases rather than one person's point of view.
