The Crazy Yard, 20 years ago, and silver today

I hate to say it, but I hit the back end of what is my "crazy yard" ,possibly 1969, 1970, and found the tin soldiers and a new 64 Kennedy half.. I was using an O'Hara Gold O Meter, which was the ultimate souped up T-20 Fisher. Designed and built in Florida, it would not work at 50 degrees or below.. So, I was only finding large conductive stuff that was deep.. Today . Stopped by to see if the grass needed cutting...My Vaquero has a battery pack. I took two AA batteries out, put dummies in, and decided to swing for a few minutes. Two neat hits, silver half and quarter.. This yard only gives me something right off when I arrive, or when I'm tired and am leaving.. It's crazy, and addictive. The house is sold, I'll go back for another couple of hours, and leave what's left for someone else. Jabbo, no ticks, but the flyers are out.

Great finds.. Wish my yard was nice to me like that. Keep it up.. KEN

Congrats on finding a walking half. Not many left anymore.
