First welcome to the Deus family . . . .
As far as the battery goes, all three are replaceable. The control unit and headphone batteries are easily done by the user while the coil should be sent to the regional service center so that the coil remains waterproof. Depending on where you live the cost may vary slightly but in the US, the cost for the battery and labor is around $50. Keep in mind that many original users - that is from 2009 - have yet to replace their coil battery.

To keep your battery operating properly for many years, be sure to follow the recommendations outlined in the manual. Additionally, top off your batteries when you return from a hunt....that'll make for long lasting batteries....if you need more info, many of the UK users have had their Deus since inception, so peruse their comments where you can find them.
