So many negative posts here ,and why, mostly from those who have not used it , or do not know how to set it up .a fantastic machine in the right hands ,.


Besides all that crap ,a wonderful machine and a credit to Minelab .

OH YEAH--MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY, JIM.------Don't NOBODY buy that E Trac--you MIGHT not like it!!!!---Besides that--it saves a few sites for us NUTS that have it!!!! :twodetecting: :crazy:
 
When the SE first came out it was the EXACT same thing. A lot of people who were saying they didn't like it and wished they still had the Explorer II now use the SE with much success. How many of you get pissed off when one of your favorite websites gets changed around and you are unfamiliar with it. It burns me up every time Ebay does it. But you know what, in a weeks time I am settled down and navigating with no problem. Our detectors become so much a piece of our own body that any change is going to be rejected I would suspect. Time will tell.

I HOPE NO ONE ELSE GET'S ONE IN MY STOMPING GROUNDS BECAUSE IT GIVES ME AN ADVANTAGE !! VERY HAPPY WITH MINE AND I HAVE BEEN DETECTING OVER 30 YEARS WITH MANY TOP OF THE LINE MACHINES.I GUESS SOME PEOPLE WERE EXPECTING A MIRICLE MAYBE.

Ain't a whole lot of set up, to it. They kind of made the whole thing automatico. Most who are posting finds with it, are saying they used pretty much factory presets with it. But since you know how to un-automatico this thing, why don't ya share?

I like my 5 year old XLT but I have to adapt to new technology, who thought they would ever prefer digital photographs or LCD televisions.

Don't knock it until you try it !!
 
we are hearing much the same crap across the pond about how good it is ,but all from minelab die hards ,what we are not seeing is good finds made by these new machines .i would have thought someone that has had one for a week or more would be screaming about the finds made with it by now .

for a guy who hasn't owned a Minelab in years and comes here to stir trouble,on a machine he knows nothing about ,coenwolf go back and play with your t2.
 
got two minelabs in the room with me at the moment ,one of my own and one of a mates ,so wrong again j.m .your actually dissapointing me you are normally far far ruder than this
 
coenwolf I DO NOT TROLL THE FORUMS LIKE YOU LOOKING FOR MY POSTS ,ON THIS FORUM ALL MY POSTS THAT YOU INVADE ARE FULL OF NASTY REMARKS BY YOU, ALL MY POST CAN BE CHECKED AND EVERYONE CAN SEE WERE THE TROUBLE STEMS FROM,YOU DON'T JOIN IN TO THE MINELAB FORUM , BUT ONLY WHEN I POST ..TIME YOU MOVED ON .
 
From what I have gathered on this forum and reading the E-Trac manual the E-Trac is/has:

Faster than an SE.
Better software than an SE.
More features than an SE.
Better balanced than an SE.
A USB port.
More granularity on the Ferrous/Conduct scales.

But, the biggest, and most important, IMHO, is with similar settings on both machines,

Can the E-Trac find a target that the SE won't even hear??
Can the E-Trac find deeper coins beyond the depth of the SE??
Can the E-Trac find coins hiding in Iron that an SE would miss??

These are big questions, and so far have not been proven on this forum.
