The Faith of Abraham

Read Genesis 12:1-8. What do these verses reveal about Abram (later Abraham) and his calling by God?

Promises to Abram

"Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father

Abraham had such great faith that he told the two young men he took with him to stay there and WE will be back! God knew his faith that he would be willing, but God wanted Abraham to know, What great faith he really had and spared his son, for his faith was counted as righteousness unto him! We now have Jesus to believe in and be saved from all our sins by confession to our dear Savior, the One and Only God that can save us, for He gave His only begotten Son for all sinners that we might be saved and living with Him in eternal glory forever more! I am not so sure that I would be able to have that much faith to use my son for a sacrifice, but of course God knows that and wouldn't ask me to do something that would make me so sad and hurt me so! Our God is love and that is why we don't have to sacrifice animals any more, for His Son, Jesus, was the ultimate sacrifice once and forever with His precious blood covering all our sins, but we must believe or we are not saved from being cast into the Lake of Fire! May God bless and save those who will be saved, and then, Come Quickly, Lord Jesus! Amen! Ma Betty
