Went back to the old field and pulled these 2 out! They were both DEEP and I would say at least 10 - 12 inches below the surface. PLUS the two inches of debris on top....
They both were iffy hits and when I scraped away the debris they came in better...definitely NOT iron hits.. 1868 Two Cent and 1875P Dime.....
Later in the day I found a nice 1893S Barber dime and an 1894 Indian Cent! I'll post those later this week.
