John: Thanks for the link, it was an interesting read. I will have to think about making a submission. We live in a 200+ year old house and when my brother came to visit from California he brought his metal detector. He found a silver dollar and some other good stuff. My wife ended up buying an Ace 150 and we found several coins and other things. We moved up to an Ace 250 and GTI 2500 and found more stuff. It really supports Garrett's contention that you should start looking around your own home first...
Also, thanks for your efforts on the review of the ProPointer. Based on your review and Uncle Willy's review, I bought one and have been happy with it. Garrett owes you guys big time....

It looks like we have a couple of celebs in our ranks.
It may be of interest to some. If you saw the gold nugget found by Wally E of Australia, in the photo of finds section. He wrote an article about it in the August edition of Gem and Treasure mag. He didn't just go out on the gold fields and found it in calm ground. The article stated, that he looked for the worst possible ground that he could find with his Minelab GPX, then put it away and hunted that ground with the Ace!
He turned up the sensitivity to the max and disciminated out the falsing, with his ears! He said that a good target sounded solid.
