the loose battery issue

Has anyone found a workable solution to this? My T2 often resets during use after setting it down or bumping the coil. Battery life is also very poor. I can only get about 8 hours from a fresh set of premium alkalines.

I'm thinking of using rechargeables and gluing some felt on them to fatten them up.

Has anyone gotten help on this from the factory?

Any other ideas?

If you or anyone is sending in there unit for the upgrade. Be sure to write a list of things that need to be looked at. This is the perfect opertunity. My T2 has no power issues at all, so hopefully this can be addressed.
