Hello, Matt, and thanks for your post. I made some patrols out of Holy Loch back in the mid '70s. At the time, my brother-in-law and I were on the same boat and another old shipmate of ours was stationed in London. He took the train and came up to spend a few days with us once. We had a great time. Ilove the people and customs over there. Yes, we can be wild at times. I think it's necessary to vent the stress when you can or it will catch up with you. It gets to be such a way of life that you're living under alot of stress for so long you become unaware of it. A different lifestyle it is, for sure. Have a good one.

Hello man, and welcome to our 'lil boat meeting. I always thought it was hilarious when they took new boats out on sea trials. I found it amusing they brought out some welders while doing check dives. I didnt see them fixing any major hull breaches down there LOL, I guess it was a 'DETERENT", weld the thing CORRECTLY or you goin' down WITH US!!! LOL Good to here from everyone on this subject.

Believe it not, this is my first detector I have ever used. I got it this past Oct. and I love it. I am still learning it of course, but I have'nt really had the problems many have. So far the best I have found was a 1917 Mercury dime in my FRONT yard! LOL I was excited.

Thanks guys, I been trying to find an imagine of my dolphins to scan and upload so maybe they could make a smiley.
As far as the Explorer goes I have only had it for 2 months and I just started the second battery because of the cold weather and snow.
I have pretty much detected at parks, lakes, and schools, so i don't have a lot of old stuff. I think the explorer will help out with the old stuff this year.

I've only had mine since end of Oct. and this is my first MD. So far a 1917 Mercury Dime is my only real pride. LOL Cant wait till spring!
