:detecting:Was so BAD=(how bad was it?) THAT I COULDN'T EVEN BELIEVE IT, couldn't even get any decent trash, only a few clad coins, couldn' believe it, even changed detectors 3 times, coils twice,, AARRGgghhhh, don't think i'll go back there =EVER=:detecting:

Just one of those days and location. Chalk it up to experience....

One of my best parks started out like that first time i hit it all i found was 50 or so aussie 1c & 2c coins witch are unable to be used as money since 1991. the next time i hit this site i started finding old silver & copper coins from the 40s-50s & it has"int stopped giving up its oldies yet.
so i"d think twice about writing off a park from the experience of one hunt.
happy hunting

You have been to " DETECTOR HELL" my friend. Never return again. I've hit a few spots like that where it seemed that every piece of metal had been sucked out of the ground.

Something to keep in mind. At depth your detector signal is only covering an area about the size of a quarter. Most coins will fit into an area of one-square inch. If you are just hunting a plot 10'x10' there are 14,400 square inches in that plot or 14,400 potential targets. THat's why no area is ever hunted out unless you scrape of all the dirt down to a given depth and sift every grain of it.
