The quiet after the storm!..........

Man we had some bad stuff come through shortly ago! Tornado warnings one after another, hail, monsoon rain, tons of lightening and thunder! Most of it missed me, but others were not as fortunate! We mainly had some heavy rain, wind and lightening for a short while. The power went off for about a minute. They actually documented 6,000 lightening strikes in one hour! Here are some pics as the very dark clouds came over the house, and then right after that a wall of water!

Some better looking clouds after the storm over the same field.

And here is the same field again. See the corn saying thank you Lord for the rain! :)

The pics show the black clouds the way they were here but they moved on over to IL or somewhere?? We didn't get any hail, but the Monsoons sure downed us for a long time! We have wet ground for sure and probaly sloppy & muddy too! Glad you are safe but sorry others didn't escape like you and I did! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus!!! More black clouds moving in from the South where there were storms and tornado warnings! We had tornado warnings earlier with the sirens going off and then they went off again! Been quite a day....but all is well that ends well and I pray all ends well your way and mine! :)

God Bless!

I love storms..to me it just the awesome power of God...I remember a storm coming through here with 100 MPH winds at night and 70 during the day. My hubby stayed up all night praying for our saftey as he layed awake listening to the destruction outside. i wrote a peom about it...its called ........

..The Storm 70 mile an hour winds hitting like a freight train got me recalling the days of Noah with all this rain. Trees have fallen and fences down. Seems everywhere you look destructions all around. The Powers out so I cant see , to retrieve , what I need to survive the next round. So I kneel and I pray and I ask the lord when will it end for HE OWNS the power of the wind. so patiently amidst the storm I will stand. My feet firmly planted on the land. Rooted in the promises of Christ for the rainbow shall shine and all will be alright.

i live in the so called tornado alley and every spring and early summer those things come around, but it seems these days they are more scattered out across the country and can drop down anywhere.that was a rough looking cloud ,just be thankful a bad tornado didnt come down out of it.

Wish I knew where the book of poems is I wrote...and the one I wrote as a high school student that was put into the newspaper.

It was about a lot of car accidents in a short period of time, many taking the lives of young people.

Just can't recall it now.

Maybe I am wound alittle different, but I enjoy storms. What a majestic reminder of God's power and wrath, and afterwards of His beauty and providence. I love to watch lightning strikes and clouds go rolling by. I know there is much damage, but I think that God uses storms as a wake up call for some who need it.

Amen, malaquin, He does want to wake some people up and He also shows He is a miracle making God from the stories about how some were kept safe while destruction was all around them! God is AWESOME and ALL-POWERFULL!! He created it all and allows nature to take its course!
What a mighty God we have, for no greater love is there than His is, as the Living Word, by laying down His life and then living again for us!

God Bless!
