I've always tried to return things of a personal, identifiable nature, it just does the soul good to help out a fellow human being.
I guess I won't have to worry about it anymore though, word is state and county parks are strictly off limits to metal detectors in Georgia, so I'm beginnig to wonder why I even bothered to get back into this hobby.
At least I can enjoy your successes from afar, and know that someone is having fun!
Great job to all who made it happen. You are good people (mangled english, but it's the thought that counts!)

Nice job you guys, I'm glad you found the
vet and I'm sure he's happy with his ring
back.
Early last year while searching a one room schoolhouse I got a strange signal
that turned out to be a WWII dogtag. I
found the fellow and yes he was still
alive but he'd recently had a stroke and
was pretty ill. When I returned it to him
he was very happy and so was his grandkids that were there at the time.
He said he doesn't remember how he lost it but his sister taught school there once upon a time. I heard just the other
day that he has passed away so I was very
glad I didn't hold onto it very long and
that he got to hold it and see it again.
