the sand shark headphones?

are the headphones that come with the sandshark waterproof or can they get submerged and if not is it a normal headphone Jack or is there only certain brands of headphones that would work?

The headphones are waterproof and the detector is waterproof to 200'.
The headphones are hardwired into the control box and cannot be removed.

Well my jolly rogers aren't covered for life.I don't have to worry about water prof headphones going bad now. :O It's like owning a wrench form sears.I got a new career with my new shark. :O

wanted to be sure because it didn't mention it in the brochure I got.. back to thinking about a pulse machine again so can you also tell me for underwater stuff is the sandshark boyent (spelling?) or is it neutral underwater where it doesn't want to sink or float, I mean shortened pole and snorkel, with flippers on but that type of stuff if anyone does this type of underwater I'd like to hear some of your opinions..

I have been out to my neck wadding with mine, so the entire detector was submerged and as far as I can remember, I didn't have any trouble keeping it down and believe it may have been less bouyant in the water.
I have the 8" coil on mine.. dont' know if the 10" would make things different.
I also had the coil cover on mine with added a little weight.

I am excited about this detector.I guess i am going to turn in to one of those old beachcombers.Already got the gray hair.Boy i fit this part real good. :O
