The SE Pro just LOVES silver...

...it sniffs it out like nothing I've ever seen. These Explorers and Etracs are simply amazing. I watched guys digging lots of silver with Etracs for a long time, before I broke down and decided to get an FBS machine myself...boy am I ever glad I did!

Got this ring on a very short hunt today at a small park that has been hunted quite a bit before. It was about 5", hit alot like a silver dime. Found some clad, but no old coins...

SILVER !

You're doing very well for yourself :beers: Keep those good finds coming.

Good find Steve!!

Keep at it and more silver will come

in my opinion.

On my EX2 and SE I have experimented over a gazillion targets before they were dug and I don't ever remember not being able to hit a deep coin in semi auto which I located in manual...and visa versa.

Many times the SE is much more effective in semi auto for me because it makes it much more stable at certain sites. I am therefor able to better concentrate on deep coin chirps and again...I don't lose any depth.

If I lose anything at all...it might be just some slight sensitivity to tiny objects...but not on coins.

Nice ring! Yep. I broke down and got an SE and borrowed a Pro Coil. First real good bragger target and first target of a hunt was a .925 ring! Then wheaties and a Merc....still in learning the SE and digging a bag full of rusty nails. It seems to be a fabulous MD. AND Now I have extra coils and my very own Pro Coil.
Swing that coil low and slow!

Glad you got one, and I hear you on the nails...

It's funny how you get used to the machine over time. I have used nothing but the pro coil, and after digging tons of nails at first, I really don't dig as many now. But yesterday, borrowed a friend's 6" EXcelerator coil while we were hunting, and I started digging NAILS again -- in the same place we had hunted all morning and I hadn't dug one!

Anyway, the point is, the more you get used to these machines, the more you learn what they are telling you, and the better your finds get! Just amazing machines.
