I got my copy yesterday and was a bit surprised that both of my finds made it in. I asked for them to chose one or the other and not print both just because it seems like boasting to me. Garrett did a nice job of combining the two dissimilar finds into a nice writeup. One note. The gold coin I found is mounted in a brooch not a ring.
I also see my pal John had a blurb and a photo too. Nice, John. Your posts here are why I bought one, so you influenced at least one person!
The new feature of rewarding submissions is very nice in my opinion. I sure wish I had scored the Pro-Pointer but I liked the story that did win it a lot. Do you post here winner? In fact, if any of the stories are from regular (or irregular) posters here please ID yourself for us.
The new GTI 2500 package is a real winner. It includes all the stuff I would buy if I was buying it all separately.

PS For whatever reason, maybe the cooler weather, I have only hunted once or twice in the past two weeks. I got my new Pro-Pointer yesterday and hopefully it motivates me to get out a few times over the weekend. I brought it to work yesterday and we had some fun with it. Here are a few things to try. If you have a friend who had a knee or hip replaced try out your new Pro-Pointer on it. Gold teeth and fillings are also easily detected through even a chubby cheek.
PPS Why does the cap on the Garrett digging tool pull off? Or is that merely how it's made?
