Is learning the tones and if you have good tonal interpetation its a plus as usually a silver coin will stop me in my tracks even if I was blindfolded. Of course the numbers and cursor movement and placement also play a part to dig or not to dig.Minelab gives us multiple choices in determining and certainly how we use them is our way as no right or wrong way just what works for us and that includes our settings and sweep speed.
