The Sign

Well folks, this afternoon found me and Scott parked along the side of the old highway. We looked a little odd, to say the least! There we were, in our dress clothes, hammer and four foot ladder in hand, climbing over an old, rusted, barbed wire fence. But it was worth it. I held the ladder, as Scott rescued my sign. Just a stupid little sign that holds many memories for my brothers and myself. Scott didn't complain, just carefully removed the old rusted sign from the magnificent pine tree it had been hammered into years and years ago. Today, Johnboy also sent me a photo of what she looked like when brand, spankin' new. There's quite a difference, but still the same to me! A landmark in our life time!

Where are you going to hang it? You might be able to put a clear coat of paint or something on it to preserve it. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas)

Things like that, tangible memories, are so few and far between. And when you get the chance, make certain that you grab on with both hands

cut about a block away!

put it in my rose garden on the tree, I would have to spray some stuff they make to preserve it. If I put it in the shop, where it is dry, it shouldn't get any worse, because you have to have dampness to get rust. I think I'll seal it anyway, just to be safe, and it will probably end up in my little corner of the shop!

the name of the group that sang it. It'll come to me, though..........and it'll drive me nuts until I remember!
