28 degrees while waiting for the bus with my daughter this morning.
Check out all the jets in the air this morning. I counted over 24 jet streams, and when one disappeared, another appeared. Most were headed for the East coast.

generally when there are that many contrails in the sky the Air Force (remember I am former AF) is conducting 'training missions'. Sometimes they are 'bombing runs' to test the accuracy of bomber crews to get to a target and see if they can get the closest 'drop' to the target than the others they are competing with. They have other training missions. I used to make up the communications kits and give briefings/debreifings to the flight crews and even talked to them via radio when I was a radio operator for the Air Force. They have some pretty cool competitions for the best of the best...and that is where some of your tax dollars go.
