The sound of Gold!

Damntheluck

New member
Found my first gold ring earlier this month amongst the trash. The sound was amazing and it locked on a solid 36. Pinpointing was so so smooth, like butter. it was also a real tight pinpoint and dropped off so clean (no static around the edges). Sounded better than the pinpoint on coins. Has anyone else noticed this about gold with the t2se? Never had trash sound like that before.

guess i'm going to have to start setting mine different. i always hunt the tot lots with mine at 40 to eliminate all the iron. i've never found gold below 53. i've checked several targets in the mid 40's but they've always been foil . what was the karat reading on the ring. good find.

10k small. I don't usually dig numbers that low either, but it had a different feel to it. I have been setting up 1+ or 2+ disc 27 sensitivity as hot as I can run stable. I only get to hunt 5 or six times a month for 5 or six hours weather permitting. I'm gone on a boat off shore for 20 days at a time. I could have been wrong on the tdi it might have been higher maybe 39 trying to remember, but it locked on and didn't jump. Sorry for the confusion, should have taken notes.

Any gold is a great find!

Made even better to locate it amongst the trash. I bet you never forget the cleanness of the sound!!!!

Congratulations
