Decided to do a little curb hunting this morning with the LTD and 5" DD coil along a trashy old spot. Selected a stretch a little out of the way and was rewarded. A couple of wheat cents and the 1935 Buffalo nickel were the first good targets fairly early in my 3 1/2 hour hunt. Then went for a while only digging some trash and the occasional clad and hi tone cents. Finally in some fairly tall and thick grass got that sweet high tone with a lock on of 74/75 and from all of 7" popped the 57d Rosie. A short time later I got a whopping high tone and dug the old style cell phone and once it was out of the ground just a couple inches away got another sweet tone and dug the 43 Merc from about 4" deep. Did get another fairly deep wheatie and what appears to be a clear shooter marble from the same clod. Be safe this holiday weekend, everyone. Sen 80, disc 4 and 3h tones. HH jim tn

That's a pretty great morning hunt! I gotta get me one of them 5's! Do you suppose the phone and the merc were dropped by the same person?
Have a good weekend!

Well, Mud, from the looks of the phone it does have some age on it. You have a great weekend as well. HH jim tn

Cool hunt jim boohoo all I got was clad and pull tabs LOL hh rick n mi.

Obviously quality time well spent.

Amazing what we find with this hobby. Late last summer I found a number of credit cards that had been in the ground for about ten years. The brass zipper pull on the wallet gave them up.

Good job and nice finds. I always find cell phones at the beach. CCH

No, I'm retired. Not taking on any more ownership. Many good F hunters out there that don't post. Wish more did. But, thanks. HH jim tn

Great detecting Jim. You know that looks like one of those smart phones that I have been hearing about? :clapping: The silver showing up is always nice on a hunt. In fact it makes the hunt from not so good to great.. Super hunting Jim... Happy Trails....Z
