The quality is not that great... I'll have to edit these things down to smaller sizes next time... Hope you can make everything out :)

I just bought one of those diggers off eBay like the one you were using. Do you like it? I think it will be more sturdy than the soil knife I have been using. The digging tool is a belated birthday present from me to me

Is that a Platypus coil? Is it hard to pinpoint with?

Congrats Joe on the finds - hey did you fill your holes  I know ya did.

I really enjoyed that Joe. It's amazing what modern electronics can do to bring your hunt right into my house. Thanks, steve in so az

2 thumbs up!! And a couple of thumb-toes up too!!

Did you use the video feature on a camera or do you have a digital video camera? Either way, I really enjoyed it.

Looking forward to "Metal Detecting with Joe G II" :clapping:

Looks good so far! Took me about 15 minutes to watch the first 2 minutes! :( But I will come back and watch the rest later! :) Great job buddy! :)

How did you get the video there? Just a regular link?
My highlights?.....The coins of course, but also the worm wriggling around in the hole and that great New York accent:lol: Thanks for the video!

J.

WHAT accent??? I'll have you know that on the forum hunt I was the only person there WITHOUT an accent

YOU KNOW YOU'RE A NEW YORKER WHEN...

-You say "the city" and expect everyone to know that this means Manhattan.

-You've never been to the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building.

-You can argue from today to tomorrow about how to get from Columbus Circle to Battery Park at 3:30 p.m. on the Friday before a long weekend, but can't find Ohio on a map.

-You think the subway makes sense.

-You believe that being able to swear at people in their own language makes you multilingual.

-You think $7.00 to cross a bridge is a fair price.

-You think an electric bagel slicer is a useful gadget.

-You consider eye contact an act of overt aggression.

-You call an 8' x 10' plot of patchy grass a yard, and complain about having to mow it.

-You consider Westchester "Upstate."

-You use expressions like "fuggetaboutit" and "getouttahea."

'cause when I lived in St.Louis, I never once went up in the Arch to the top. I've met lots of people that lived everwhere else in the country that had made the ride, but not me. It might have had something to do with my aversion to heights:cry:

I was at a friends so I got to see it in real time. If I tried to watch a ten minute video here I would have been watching about one and a half hours! However I would have liked to see an episode that long in real time! Ya did great Joe, except for the time running out and you losing two silvers! Now when you re-find them you can't count them twice! Loved it buddy! By the way, Did you save that video that Vicky made at the 1st CMD hunt you came to?

I'm going to try a "Winter Beach Hunting" video later this month. There's a good negative tide around the 20th. Now if the weather cooperates and we get some sand movement, maybe I'll have something to post :) The next time I do a hunt on land, I'll record the sound of the signal (like I did with the X-1). I think it'll be interesting. Some of the silver dimes and wheaties were very "iffy" with so small a "window" I couldn't even pinpoint it (for all the junk around it). I was just wiggling the coil and moving it toward me until it dissapeared off the tip of the coil. I then turned and did the same thing. This is true, especially with the X-12 coil. The hotstrip is just too big in trashy areas.

The problem with the videos is that I'm limited to the length and size of the document I can upload. That one video, on my computer, is over 2 GIG in size. YouTube only allows 100 mb files max. So, I have to compress it which degrades the quality. The next ones will have to be 2-5 minutes. Nothing I can do on this end to speed up your viewing though... sorry :(

Cant see having one and spending all that time out searching in all kinds of weather when I can just sit in my nice chair all nice and warm drinking a hot co co and watch Joe detect
Way too cool!!!
BTW I thought I had all the goodies with my explorer. I didnt even know they came with a video camara option
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha
Greg
Hey Joe........
later this week I'd like to go detecting on the beach. Please post the vidio. I want to see how I did!
Great job and great finds!!!!!!!!!!

It IS cool isn't it? :) I got the idea to do it from watching one of Carol's vids (from the Friendly Metal Detecting forum). I felt the same way :) After watching her vid, I did a search for Metal Detecting on YouTube and next thing you know a whole BUNCH of videos showed up. Really neat to watch people hunt. You can feel the same excitement they felt.

You don't have to sell your MD... just ship it to me

This is the sign when you're entering Brooklyn :)
