The weather outside is

not exactly delightful, but have managed one or two brief hunts each day this week. A couple of mornings it was in the teens with a good north wind when starting out and highs those days were upper 20's. The best things I've found thus far this week was that I didn't get frost bite. I have added a few bucks to my battery fund and a couple more cars to my hot wheels collection and a couple of pieces of junk jewelry to the junk jar. The Omega handles the colder temps. all right, it seems. Better then me, as it is still purring when I am ready to pack it in. The past few days haven't been much better all the way down into Fl. Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New year to everyone. HH jim tn

I am soooo looking forward to Friday. That is crew change day. I have spent the last week up here on the Illinois river above Peoria lake at a dock in Henry, Illinois freezing my butt off. Temps in the single digits and wind chills to 26 below. (Now I see why you guys call it quits for the winter up here.:surrender:) Right now we are at lock 26 just above St. Louis and are headed for Blytheville, Arkansas, which is a whole lot closer to home. I will be swinging the coil of my Gamma this week end for sure! Maybe it will warm up a little jim, but either way I'm going to find something. Merry Christmas to you too.

capt, you are going to see some mid 40's temps in Blytheville, if you make it in this evening or tomorrow morning. Warm front moving from the south right now and temps are rising. Unfortunately, colder on the weekend, but where you are coming form, 40's will seem like a heat wave. I am south of you a bit in the Memphis area. Good luck this weekend. :beers: Cheers and HH jim tn
