Had some much needed rain here and hunting time was curtailed early in the week. Still managed 3 silver Rosies between Th. and Fri. and several wheats, some clad and the usual curio things that end up in cans and boxes.
I am having a problem with the 10" coil. All of a sudden it seemed like I had run into a spot that was loaded with surface iron and was getting a constant overload. I finally shut the Omega off, turned it back on and everything seemed all right...until I tried to gnd grab. It went bonkers again and simply would not gb. Turn it on and it will go to factory 82, but will not gnd grab. Tried all the usually things, all to no avail. The 5" and 11" coils work fine. The 5" coil once again was the coil that sniffed out the 3 silver Rosies from among some heavy trash. Looks like the 10" needs to take a trip.
Club hunt today and will be a tad crisp for our seeding of three fields this morning. It is 35 degrees at the moment and the high for today is 54.
Hope those of you that get out swinging this weekend have some banner luck.
