The woods saga continues.

After a good dowsing of DEET, I hit the bush again. Once again targets were few and far between, but after four hours did put together an assortment of finds. The sterling knife was the first good find after about two hours of swinging. The ring, which doesn't seemed to be marked, but was 3" deep and came out of the ground silver looking, came shortly after the knife. The ornament looking thing kind of looks familiar, but right off I don't know what it is. It has patent pending, Sharon (--and a short word rusted out) and 1982 on it.The dog tag has a date of 1936 and the wheat cent is 1918. On the tobacco corner pouch is the pipe tamper that was inside the pouch. The innards of the knife is toast, but a rather unique design, as is the ring. Until next time. HH jim tn

Hi Jim, back at you. Yes, it has been a fun run for both Terry and I. A few neat finds and some nice older coins. Good job on the beach. There is some gold lurking there and good luck getting your share. We miss you at the club meeting and the occasional buddy hunts. Take care. HH jim tn
