And that's filling in other peoples HOLES!

Who ever was at Bonsteel Beach today, (Brevard County) Fl,
why don't you start filling in your holes dude!
Don't cry when they close the damn beach from metal detecting
because people start complaining about us!

It's people like you (and you know you are) that ruin it for everyone!
Cmon dude, it only takes a sec to push the sand back in with your foot!

AND the reason I had to fill em' in is because I don't want people looking at me
like I did it!

Did he also leave the pull tab/bottle cap/foil on top of the sand? There's a Beach up here in Ma. Cranes Beach, We're no longer allowed due to stuff like that. I loved that beach. Artie

I think that same guy has been following me around, heh. Everywhere I go, in town and out in the ghost towns, I'm seeing the same thing. and he digs gigantic craters, leaving his iron junk next to the hole. Infuriating.

Wow...seems to be one of those seasonal things maybe?...big holes poorly plugged or not filled in at all...new guys I suspect...or folks that never grew up learning right...one thing about seasoned detectorists in general, we take pride in not leaving any trace at all, moving over the Planet like a shadow, hardly noticed or seen..We are highly sensitive to the "signs" all humans leave behind...I doubt the general humanoid populace recognizes a hole in the sand or a hole in the park left by a detectorist, from any other hole dug by a squirrel, or kid or dog..but WE sure do and can see them a long way off. Got no answer here boys, just a thought. It is sort of cool to see somebody elses coil track in the sand next to a unfilled hole, with a pulltab laying there too, and try to remember that specific style to sort of keep an eye out for the guy who's got a coil just like that.
