Thin Copper Quarter? Need info?

I found a thin quarter today, looks like it is solid copper! Has anyone else ran into this, I cant read the date because of corrosion!
 
Never have! Are you sure it is a quarter, or a quarter-size piece of copper??? Wish you luck in it being something valuable and God Bless you and yours! Betty

I have not found one like yours, but modern quarters are made with a solid coper core and a mix of 75% copper and 25% nickel on the outside. Maybe the outside is worn off?
