Think I will stick with Ferrous Sounds.

In Conductive Sounds mode, the nails bounce around and give high tones even if they cross the boundery into the ferrous side. But with Ferrous Sounds, once they bounce over into the ferrous range it is easy to hear them. Makes it easier to run it wide open with nothing disc'ed out.

I also like the ultra slow motion. It's a nice counterpart to my ultra fast one.

All depends on your tonal hearing abilities and personal preferences but stick with either one and don't switch back and forth as many excell with either....
I would think silver hunters would prefer ferrous but those after nickles and gold rings may opt for conduct...nice of Minelab to give us a choice and sort of two machines in one kind of thing...

The Conduct mode is not for wide open zero discrimination (-16 iron mask), A setting of -14 to -12 iron mask is good for Conduct tone, it will null some but swing turtle slow.

Mike, try out fast recover and/or audio 1, I think there are just enough settings on the Exp. to make most happy...

Ferrous sounds is great in iron infested areas. Also I am strictly Audio 1 user. Once you get used to it there is no turning back to 'Normal' audio.
