Thinking about getting an F-70 or F-75

Dirt Poor

New member
I hope y'all can help me out. I've owned a couple of minelab Explorers in the past, and they did ok for relics, but I want a basic machine that will hit deep on bullets and relics without all those crazy sounds. Where I hunt, the Explorers have been the "best" machines to cover the ground, and sometimes those deep targets don't get discovered uless the user follows up on those barely audible chirps to see if they lead to something. I don't have an Explorer now, but do use an Xterra 70, which is ALOT more lacking on depth. If an F-70 will give me equal to or greater depth than an Explorer, I may get one, simply because of price. If I need to go with a 75, price just may be a factor at this point. Looking for a used unit of either model. Thanks for any help!!

First off the F70 does not come stock with DD coil . I wont hunt without it .
You said the Explorer has been the best to cover ground . If true why change.
I would not expect depth gains , you might but you might not.
What you will get is very fast, very light and easy to use IMO
F75 can be found used . If i get the LTD the 75 will have to go . HH Mike

All so you might check out the Omega 8000 Getting some good reviews close to depth of F70 / F75 with DD coil
More stable hits harder on silver than low conductors :bouncy:but thats not a bad thing sometimes.

I have heard how good, and how much lighter the 75 was than the Explorer, but I haven't owned an Explorer in 4 years, so I changed 4 years ago. Bad move? Maybe, but hindsite is usually 20/20. All I own now is a Tiger Shark, Silver uMax, Xterra 70, and a Headhunter Pirate. The 70 is my current relic machine.

I have had F75 since june of 08 last summer i gave the E Trac a try did not like the weight ,swing speed, the screen among other things
That does not make it any worse or better . Just not the fit for me Glad i kept the F75

f70 is a great unit i love mine & ive owned them all :detecting:

Get the new black LTD it is the best right now.

Is the black any different than the camp ltd internally or are they same. I heard the coils had had some changes to them. Maybe just to be bore durable. Not sure
