Thinking about the 705 gold but ? Which one

I have a question on the 705 gold with the 9 in dd coil. I have been searching and found the gold combo kit and on the same site found one that says for gold prospecting and it's cheaper but seems to be the same. ?? With dd coi. Was there a model that I should be aware of. It's from a non sponsored site so I can't post the link. I have a 500 reward points with them so I may go with them. Thanks

as far as I know there is no 9" DD coil, only 9" concentric coils. I would pass on the double coil kit and stick with just the 705 Gold with the 10x5 18.75 kHz coil unless the two coil kit and single coil are the same price.

I made a mistake they are both the 10x5 dd standard 18.75 coils and only one coil per kit. I can't see any diff in the 2 other then one might be an older ver? But if it's $100 less for an older version and there's no known earlier model 705 issues ill get it and it makes it easier to buy the 6in digger coil next

Let me ask this to help me clear up any of my confusion is the only difference between the 705 gold combo and 705 standard is the coils. Thanks

Both detectors are the same, it's just the coils that are different for them.

Look around before you buy, some dealers are selling the 705 with both coils for a little bit extra...... If I was to get one, I'd be getting the duel coil pack version.

Correct. The control unit is the same on all 705's. The only difference is the coils that they package them with.

Thank you all I will be placeing my order in the AM. With the $500 reward points at the store I'm shopping it's only going to be $250 more for the 705gold , this package only comes with the one coil. I'll be looking for more coils soon enough. Thanks again

Whoa! The suggested price for the standard and the Gold Pack are the same. The Dual Coil Package is the only one that should cost more.
Shoot....you can buy a second coil with the $250 difference.

I think I'm confusing this It's $759 for the 705gold package I'm looking at one coil only package. I have $500 in reward points so only $259 out of my pocket. They had another package for $859 but it didn't say 2 coils I'll check first but was concerned before I buy if I needed to watch out for older models because of the $100 difference. Thanks Gerry

The older model was the 70, and that was updated to the 705 long enough ago that their aren't any of the older models being sold new. I believe that the difference is probably the dual coil package, which comes with the Gold Pack 5x10 HF DD coil and the standard 9" MF Concentric coil.

that's a pretty high price even on the single coil package ... maybe one of the sponsers here can use your reward points

Well in the end the combo deal above was the 705 gold with carry bag and head set not so great price. So I called around and when speaking with Bart at big boys and told him what I was looking for I almost got the etrac. But I bought the 705gold and got a second 6in digger coil for a great price. In the past I bought a ctx3030 from him and used the. 6in coil and loved it was just a bit to heavy for my liking but found the most silver for me so far. Last year I used the atpro with the stock and 5x8 dd coils with no luck. So this year bought the xp Deus but never used it I don't go out enough to justify cost which lead me to the 705. For half the cost of the XP and from all the positive feedback on the 705 it should fit my needs. I'm sure I'll have ? On it and thanks for all the help so far.
