Needed to fix my silver craving before heading off with my son for a couple of days of striper fishing this afternoon, so headed out early this morning to the trash pit to sniff around a couple more foundations and driveway edges. As you can see dug more trash then good targets, but did manage a couple of goodies. Dug 5 wheat cents, but can't tell the dates on 2. The 3 I can are a 41 and 2 58's. Did get a 45 Mercury dime and a sterling dinner ring and a 100 year anniversary type coin/fob/pendant, 1863 to 1963, for THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF WILMINGTON. The last pull tab reading I dug was the 1930 Buffalo nickel. Nice to see a date. Hope all have some great digging this weekend. Remember, you can't dig it from the couch or watching the computer. HH jim tn

I know you dig many targets from our communication.. and so do I.......... But seeing the picture may help Newbies know exactly what to expect in this great hobby we chose...

Nice hunt Jim. I agree with Elton on the trash issue. I mean, its evertime with me, whether Im out in a field or in town somewhere. I wanna add one thing though, do like Jim and bring the trash out with you, dont leave it on the ground or bury it back in the hole.
Good luck on the fishing trip,
John

Nice hunt Jim but I wish you would stop using that expensive china to display your finds on. I bought my wife the same china for our 40th anniversary and she is starting to get suspicious that is may not be as expensive as I said it was. I also told her it is paper for the 40th anniversary. :bouncy: Great job and have fun out there fishing.....Z

Jim, nice going. Those finds would make anybody's day.

Excellent last sentence! Cant dig no silver from a boat either! Oh well, at least you are not GOLFING! :puke: Nice work again old buddy! :clapping:
Mud

Golfing is similar to detecting,..... your outside, sometimes in the woods, some in the field, digging then replacing the divit, swinging a rod, and always, always looking for something.

Awesome digs.

What a life! Fishing and metal detecting. Not far from retiring one day and will do the same.

Fishing was so good we came home a day early. One striper between us for ten hours time on the water. We both decided we couldn't handle any more of that much fun. LOL Right mud, no silver from a boat....not even fish, either. Z, I'm noticing that china pattern or similar is pretty popular among dirt diggers and beach combers. Rob, I must admit, it is a pretty darn good life. Thanks everyone. I very seldom showed my trash with my finds, but liked it when others did, so I'll try and do it more in the future....if I dig anything good. HH jim tn
