Hello fellow treasure hunters. I am back with the finds once again. I decided to go visit my sister this weekend and also to go try a spot I had researched during the winter months. The site is still in use and has a lot of ground to cover and these finds are just the beginning of what I hope to be a site that keeps giving up some keepers for at least a few weeks, that is if I continue to go back to this site unless I decide to try some others I know about. I stopped off and seen Rick(ND) on Sunday Night on the way back home and showed him my finds for this weekend. Lets just say that he is going with this next weekend if plans don't change. The reason I used the Surrender up top is because this site was yeilding so much so fast I was almost tempted to go somewhere else do to lack of Barber and Indian Heads in the beginning. That kind of changed though but I did give up both days around 5:30pm due to having a sore knee from getting up and down so much. So, I think we will start off with the Clad Coins first. I won't post a pic of them but give you the numbers. I found 26 Quarters, 32 Dimes, 9 Nickels, and 78 Pennies. That is all the Clad I dug during the weekend that I came across for the most part maybe leaving 20 Newer Pennies (at least I think they were new
). Onto the finds. For Silver this weekend I found 17. Nothing Big but maybe next time. The Silver were 2 Barber Dimes dated 1896-O (Semi-Key Date starting at $75.00 in Good with a Mintage of only 610,000) and a 1914-d with Liberty showing, 14 Mercury Dimes dated (2)1916-s,1919-d,(2)1919-s,1927,1928-s,1929,1941,1942-s,1943,1943-d, and (2)1945-d, along with 1 Roosevelt Dime dated 1946-d. I found 5 Silver on Saturday and got 12 on Sunday. I also found 2 Tokens. 1 is a Good For 5c In Trade with a town name and place on it and the other says Bally's Aladdin's Castle / The Ultimate Party Place. The Good For Token will only have the Front pictured since I do want to try and keep this site as long as I can for a select few, even though the Token is from a different town but it is near by. For Nickels, I found 4 which were 4 Jefferson Nickels dated 1939-s,1945-d (War Nickel),1948-d, and 1957-d. I will try and find the Older Nickels next time due to too many targets. I found 2 Older Canadian Pennies dated 1921 and 1955. Also 1 more '59 Lincoln surfaced as well. Also to surface were 3 Play Coins. 2 will be posted here with the other below this. The 2 here were a Play Nickel dated 1954 and a Play Quarter. That does it so far so look for the next post below to finish up this weekends hunt. Thanks for looking and Good Luck and HH.
