This weekends finds and some ID help!?

Well, I managed to get out this weekend. I hit two different spots.

Unfortunately I ran out of daylight when I started turning up the old goodies.

-1828 U.S. Large Cent
-a war of 1812 U.S. Infantry (Scripted "I" with a star in a circle below it) button
-two saddle? rivets
-half of a huge fancy crotal bell
-a couple flat buttons
-horseshoe looking item

the other place turned up a 1913 barber dime, and a 1903 indian head penny

Does anyone know what the horseshoe shaped item is!?!? It's way to small to be a horseshoe. It's 2 1/4" long and 2 1/2" wide and only 1/16" thick. Looks like brass. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

Found this last wednesday in a bean field. The other half of you're bell!!!!!

Great!! I think you have the better half, so I'll tell you what...I'd be willing to sell you my half for the low low sum of $100 *hahah*

I've found about half a dozen of these bells now...all different sizes. Unfortunately only 2 of the bells are complete. They are still always a neat find, and a good sign!
