Got a few hours in Saturday checking out a new spot. A few minutes before I had to leave, I dug these drops

Spent the morning Sunday hunting a spot which has produced many fired and chewed bullets. After spending most of my time fighting off the Deer Ticks and Mosquitoes , I managed to dig these.

Nice finds Mike, My spots have about quit producing much. I am lucky to find that many minies in 8 or more outings. My spots produce alot more various sized roundballs at around 4 or more to 1 minie. Most of my finds are Confederate. The N.C. regiment that was stationed there to protect a R.R. bridge, R.R. tracks and telegraph line was very poorly equipped and didn't even have enough ammo to drill with according to Official Records. Keep up the good work, I enjoy seeing all the relics you post.

John and I have found over 200 Fireds out of this particular area, and it has been all 3-ringers, no swaged or star bases that I know of. It's got me curious as to why no cleaners have popped up out of this spot??? Anyway, after the aerial and land assault I endured this weekend, gonna lay off the woods until first frost (Have I said this before??? )
BTW, sending you an e-mail

Keep at it, I have spots like that, they will quit producing for a while. I will go back a few months later, and locate a new pocket that keeps me busy for a while I haven't had too much luck locating a Confederate camp, but hopefully that will change this year
