i used a bounty hunter pioneer 202 for about 3 months
about the only thing it was good for were tot lots where you could find enough change to buy a soda and that was about it
if you were going to use it for anything worth to put in a case or in holders, forget it.
the only thing notable i found with it was a .925 ring, on the ground, and 37 wheat
target id was a joke, past 3 inches everything was either iron, a pull tab or a $1!
it had no pinpointer on it, what a laugh! i had to keep borrowing my dads idx pro just to keep from using a spade!
so now its on ebay, along with some other stuff.
so what this all boils down to, is i need a new detector!
but i like two different kinds, the tesoro silver umax/cibola and the garret ace 250
i have had people say the 250 will kick the silver umax's butt and the silver umax will kick the 250's butt
so this leaves me really undecided
i will have around $250 to spend
i dont need a detector with a whole bunch of whistles, like notch, etc
i just need one that has moderate depth for finding old coins, like buffalo nickles, indian heads, etc
